Dear TCS Families:
As we begin the fourth quarter, we can reflect on a truly amazing school year. We started off with yet another variant of the Covid virus, but it quickly faded, and we began to regain some normalcy in our daily lives.
In August, September and October, Volleyball and Football were in full swing. The TCS volleyball team won the state championship. Homecoming events filled October with Spirit Week and the crowning of King and Queen.
In November the senior class hosted an amazing Thanksgiving Luncheon. This was a fundraiser to raise money for their senior trip.
December was short due to the winter break; but we did a lot in those few short weeks. Mr. Wooley 'hit it out of the park' with our annual Christmas program. The senior class held a Santa's workshop for students to buy presents for their parents. And the TCS basketball season officially began.
January and February included the TCS Lady Lions winning the state title in basketball, an amazing Spiritual Emphasis Week with Bob Holmes, and the senior class auction.
March is off to a fast start with field day, SAT testing, Future Fair, and Spring Break just to name a few. The seniors went on their senior trip over spring break and had a wonderful time in Panama City.
As we begin the final countdown for events to close out the year, I have another countdown to formally announce. After 23 years at Temple Christian School, I will be retiring at the end of the school year. There are no words to express how much I will miss the students, staff and school.
Mrs. Angela Hood will become the principal for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Hood is an amazing leader and brings a master's degree and years of experience to the table. She served as Assistant Principal this year.
Mrs. Andrea Stoner will become the Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Stoner brings vast and diverse assortment of experience with her. She has taught at public, Montessori, charter and private schools. She has been the K3-1st grade Department Head for the last 3 years.
When you see Mrs. Hood and Stoner, please congratulate them both on their new titles. I know they both are going to do a wonderful job. And now, I would like to say goodbye and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's life. Thank you for your encouragement, support, and prayers. I will miss you all and cry many tears remembering my time at TCS.
